The ADHD Epidemic: What Camps Can Do to Make a Difference

When you understand why ADHD is being diagnosed so often in the US, you quickly see how the camp experience is important. Despite its high prevalence, many of us don't fully understand or appreciate the ADHD mind. We see it as a disorder, when in fact; it's better described as a developmental brain style. This webinar will also address the best behavioral strategies to use when managing these kids, techniques of leadership that counselors need to be better leaders, and the role of medications while at camp.

By the end of the webinar participant will:

  1. Know what an ADHD diagnosis means and be able to dispel ADHD myths.
  2. Gain essential tools for managing ADHD-related behavior.
  3. Appreciate and better understand strategies for improving symptoms associated with ADHD.
