Lifeguard Instructor Course

The Lifeguarding Instructor course trains candidates to teach American Red Cross Lifeguarding, Lifeguard Blended Learning, Shallow Water Lifeguarding, Aquatic Attraction Lifeguarding, Waterpark Skills, First Aid, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Bloodborne Pathogens Training. Note: To teach Waterfront Skills, Lifeguarding instructors must possess a basic-level Waterfront Skills certificate.  ​Prerequisites: Minimum age: 17 years, possess a current Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED or an equivalent certificate from another organization, complete the online session for the Lifeguarding Instructor course, and complete the in-person precourse session. Participants must complete all online portions prior to March 9, 2018 and attend all in-person classes. A physical instructor manual will be provided. Candidates must bring a resuscitation mask to class. Class Dates and Times: Saturday March 10: 9AM - 5PM Sunday March 11: 9AM - 5PM Monday March 12: 9AM - 5PM Tuesday March 13: 9AM - 5PM
