Certified Horsemanship Association Standard Clinic

Are you looking to certify your Horse Staff? Camp Fire Camp Killoqua is hosting a Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) Standard Clinic June 15-19, 2017 in Stanwood, Washington. This clinic is open to any participant looking to become a certified riding instructor through CHA. The CHA certification is an approved Horseback Riding Instructor certifying body by ACA and a discount will apply to ACA camps.

Housing, meals, horses, tack, and manuals are supplied in the cost of the clinic.

Level I Challenge Course Practitioner Training and Certification Exam

his 40-hour program (5 days) provides the essential skills of challenge course facilitation. You will learn to use games, low course and high course activities to create meaningful experiences.  Intended for all skill levels, educators, summer camp staff or those new to facilitation. Successfully completing this training prepares you to take the Level I Practitioner certification exam on the final day.

Prerequisite: none, open to all skill levels

Level II Challenge Course Practitioner Training

This 40-hour program (5 days) provides the advanced skills for challenge course facilitation on highs and lows. Level II training takes you deeper into the concepts that you've been using as a Level I. Specifically you are introduced how to handle non-routine situations and mentoring other staff as your responsibilities increase as well-trained and seasoned staff member.
