American Red Cross Camp Health Officer Training

Training begins May 26 at 10 AM and is completed on May 28 at 2:00 PM. The package includes three nights and seven meals and all the certifications necessary to be a Camp Health Officer in Michigan. 

Cost is $350.00. Please makes checks payable to "Wildwood Ranch". Registration and payment are due by Friday May 12, 2017.

Basic Standards Course - ACA, Illinois and Mid States Camp Conference

The ACA Standards Course is specifically designed to help prepare people who are NEW to the accreditation process for their accreditation visits, and to serve as an introduction to the standards program for those interested in becoming accreditation visitors. The camp may or may not be currently accredited. A person completing the ACA Standards Course on behalf of a camp is expected to actively assist the camp in preparation for the accreditation visit, be on site a significant amount of time during the camp season, and participate fully in the on-site accreditation visit.

Standards Update Course - ACA, Illinois and Mid States Camp Conference

The Standards Update Course is designed for the camp director or staff member who has been actively involved in the preparation of materials and the on-site visit at an ACA-accredited camp in the recent past. A person completing the ACA Standards Course on behalf of a camp is expected to actively assist the camp in preparation for the accreditation visit, be on site a significant amount of time during the camp season, and participate fully in the on-site accreditation visit.

Small Craft Safety (Canoeing and Rowboat) Training

You will earn your American Red Cross Small Craft Safety- Row Boating and Canoeing certification. Practice your strokes, learn to trim your boat, and gain skills in teaching girls about boating. You will learn basic water rescues, small craft accident prevention, supervision of boating, and emergency preparation and response. This course has physically demanding requirements such as the participant being able to pull themselves into a row boat from the water.  Certification is valid for three years.
