Associate Visitor Course - ACA, Great Rivers

The ACA Associate Visitor Course provides training to individuals who wish to volunteer to conduct accreditation visits. Participants will learn the roles and responsibilities of a visitor, including legal implications of visitor actions; develop information-gathering skills; and learn to use resources available to make consistent compliance decisions. Participants will also understand the educational value of the accreditation process and become positive representatives and advocates for ACA. There is no charge for this course.

ACA, St. Louis Annual Meeting and Standards Training

Please join us for the ACA, St. Louis Annual Meeting and Standards Training. The day will include time for networking and discussion, an annual membership meeting, and Basic Standards Course or Standards Update Course opportunities. Lunch will be provided.

Basic Standards Course - ACA, Illinois and Mid States Camp Conference

The ACA Standards Course is specifically designed to help prepare people who are NEW to the accreditation process for their accreditation visits, and to serve as an introduction to the standards program for those interested in becoming accreditation visitors. The camp may or may not be currently accredited. A person completing the ACA Standards Course on behalf of a camp is expected to actively assist the camp in preparation for the accreditation visit, be on site a significant amount of time during the camp season, and participate fully in the on-site accreditation visit.

Standards Update Course - ACA, Illinois and Mid States Camp Conference

The Standards Update Course is designed for the camp director or staff member who has been actively involved in the preparation of materials and the on-site visit at an ACA-accredited camp in the recent past. A person completing the ACA Standards Course on behalf of a camp is expected to actively assist the camp in preparation for the accreditation visit, be on site a significant amount of time during the camp season, and participate fully in the on-site accreditation visit.

Please join us for the ACA, Great Rivers Fall Conference! Enjoy a time of education, renewal, and fun at The Carol Joy Holling Retreat and Conference Center in Ashland, Nebraska. The conference features a variety of educational opportunities including a keynote and breakout sessions with Dr. Deborah Gilboa (Dr. G), an exhibit hall, networking opportunities, and more! The Adult Mental Health First Aid Course and the ACA Basic Standards Course will be offered as preconference sessions on November 14. The conference kicks off on November 15 with Dr. G’s opening keynote.
