Strengthening Camp Resilience: Shared Solutions for Emergency & Disaster Preparedness

This interactive session brings together camp professionals of all experience levels to exchange practical ideas and creative solution for the five phases of emergency and disaster management: Prevention, Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery. Participants will highlight what’s working, share success from their own programs, and crowd-source new approaches to common challenges. Through interactive discussion and peer learning, attendees will walk away with fresh strategies for strengthening preparedness across all types of camp environments.

Jenika Doberstein
Jenika Doberstein is the Training and Exercise Coordinator for the Arapahoe County Office of Emergency Management in Colorado. With more than 20 years of leadership in camp programs and Master’s Degree in Emergency and Disaster Management, she specializes in preparedness training and multi-agency exercises. At this year’s conference, she will draw on her combined experience in camping and emergency management to help strengthen your camp’s preparedness strategies.
