It is with a heavy heart that the American Camp Association (ACA) acknowledges and mourns the passing of our beloved colleague Kim Brosnan on October 27, 2023, at the age of 57.

Kim was the director of knowledge systems for the American Camp Association. In her 17 years with the Association, she was a pillar for advancing ACA’s professional development efforts. Kim was a major contributor to the successes of the current Accreditation Portal and the Online Learning Center, and she was the driving force behind ACA’s current credentialing and badge system.

She excelled at working collaboratively and made people feel valued. Kim’s influence through her professional development work has impacted and will continue to impact countless camp professionals and the campers they serve.

Prior to her time with ACA, Kim served as the camp director at Camp Isaac Jogues and director for CYO camping programs for Catholic Charities.

Kim was a wonderful colleague and friend, with a delightful sense of humor. She will be greatly missed both personally and professionally.
