ACA, New England Child Mental Health

ACA, New England is excited to be working with trainers from the Center for School Behavioral Health at Mental Health America of Greater Houston to provide this session for professionals working with youth. This introductory level offering defines mental health, discusses signs and symptoms of a mental health challenge or disorder, and how to support a youth state of wellbeing.

During this 90-minute e-session, participants will use activities, role-play, and demonstrations to: 

• Gain a baseline understanding of the difference between mental health and mental illness 
• Explore the stigma of mental health 
• Learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of a camper who may be developing a mental health challenge 
• Create a plan to help
