On behalf of the Recreation Education Council (REC), we invite you to register for Texas A&M Camp Career Day! Camp Career Day is an excellent opportunity for camps and retreat centers to meet with outstanding undergraduate and graduate students seeking full-time, part-time, and internship positions within the fields of recreation, parks, tourism, hospitality, youth development, and event management. Camp Career Day will be held Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM CST in Academic Plaza and Rudder Plaza, both main student thoroughfares on Texas A&M’s campus.
In case of inclement weather given the outside nature of the event space, our alternative date will be November 6th. This recruiting event will be publicized throughout campus; students from all majors will be encouraged to attend. Invited departments include: Applied Youth Development Initiative; Hospitality, Hotel Management & Tourism (formerly RPTS); Agriculture, Leadership, Education and Communications; Sport Management; School of Education and Human Development; and numerous other departments across campus.
Upon the request of many programs, we have expanded our event space to include Academic Plaza this semester. This will be in addition to a scaled back offering in Rudder Plaza. A map of both locations is below. Each location will have 20 spots available for reservations. Due to an increase in university fees to use Academic Plaza, tables in that location will cost $200. Tables in Rudder Plaza will cost $150. Please note, there is no available power in either location. Programs can also choose from our numerous add-on options to ensure that your camp day experience will be best tailored to your program's needs. Add-on options include: your program name being added to our physical and digital marketing, boxed lunches, additional parking passes, and more.
There are sponsorship opportunities for a limited number of camps. Camp Career Day sponsors will have their logo featured on all Camp Career Day marketing materials including electronic, social media, and print marketing across campus and direct communication to over 1,500 Texas A&M students. During Camp Career Day, sponsors will be allowed priority choice of table location and lunch will be provided.
