This recorded webinar provides practical insight into the risks children face online and steps adults can take to help prevent online exploitation. Participants will learn about current threats impacting youth in the digital environment, including grooming, sextortion, and the long-term risks associated with sharing images online. The presentation also highlights how offenders target and manipulate children, along with guidance on recognizing warning signs and responding if a child may be at risk. Drawing from real investigative examples, this session equips trusted adults with knowledge and resources to better protect children and support victims.
Ale Levi - Ale is a Senior Forensic Interview Specialist (FIS), for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and is currently detailed to the DHS Know2Protect Campaign as a Senior Campaign Advisor and Subject Matter Expert. Ms. Levi is an LCSW and holds her Masters in Social Work and Forensic Psychology. She has worked in the area of child abuse/exploitation since 1998. In 2009, Ms. Levi became the first FIS for HSI and establishing the HSI Forensic Interview Program. She works with all victims of crime (children and adults), focusing on child exploitation/abuse, human trafficking, traveling child sex offender crimes, FGM, human rights violations and war crime victims. Ms. Levi travels domestically and internationally conducting forensic interviews and trainings in both English and Spanish. In addition, Ale is an associate with NCJTC and a consultant for NCAC.
