American Canoe Association Paddlesports Safety Facilitator Course

The Paddlesports Safety Facilitator (PSF) certification program teaches basic safety and paddling knowledge, as well as simple rescue skills for canoe, kayak, and SUP. The training for this certification includes a base knowledge module (non-craft specific) plus three complementary modules that focus specifically on canoeing, kayaking, and stand up paddling (SUP). This certification allows the facilitator to introduce paddlecraft safety and knowledge to the beginner paddler. 

Please note this class will happen rain or shine so please be prepared.  Half the class will be held out of the water and the other half will be hands on in the water.  Participants do not need any previous boating experience, but must be comfortable in open water and have basic swimming skills. Lunch, all course supplies, and ACA (American Canoe Association)  membership are included, but we ask you to bring a water bottle, swimwear, water shoes/sandals with back strap, sunscreen, appropriate clothing for being outside all day.
