American Red Cross Lifeguarding + Waterfront (Hendersonville, NC)

May 19-22, 2025

The primary purpose of this course is to train lifeguards to act with speed and confidence in emergency situations both in and out of the water. Topics include water rescue skills, surveillance and recognition, first aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies, CPR, AED and more. The new program reflects the latest Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) science.

This class will be offered as a blended learning course. About 8 hours of online learning must be completed prior to attending class. Course maximum is limited to 10 people. The class will take place in a pool at a camp. There is no lodging or meals provided on site. Participants are responsible for their own transportation, lodging, and meals. Class will run from 8:30-5:30 each day.
