American Red Cross Wilderness First Aid (& Optional CPR/AED), Brevard, NC

This program is designed to teach individuals how to deal with emergency situations by using first aid skills in a delayed-help environment.

This course spends the first morning teaching how to do effective patient assessment. The next day and a half are spent practicing hands-on patient assessment and treatment skills and responses to specific illnesses and injuries that are prevalent in outdoor settings.

Course will be held at Island Ford Adventures in Brevard, NC. Lodging and meals are not provided. The course will be held mostly outside so please dress accordingly.

Course cost is $195 for Wilderness First Aid only. CPR will be offered as an optional module on Monday evening and will require some online work ahead of time.
