In its first six years, the American Camp Association’s (ACA) Camp Moves Me program raised more than $335,000 to send more than 1,300 kids to ACA-accredited camps.

As we look at the camp industry’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, ACA has examined innovative ways to help to even more camps all year round.

So that we might serve the larger camp community, ACA has reimagined Camp Moves Me into a digital fundraising platform that any ACA-accredited camp can run anytime, anywhere. Camps wanting to host a Camp Moves Me fundraiser no longer have to do so during a specific month or in a specific fundraising style.

What Does This Mean for Your Camp?

Here are just a few ways you can fundraise with Camp Moves Me:

  1. Fundraise through social media.
  2. Crowdfund.
  3. Have an online giving day.
  4. Have a walkathon, hikeathon, bikeathon, etc.

The possibilities are endless! By taking control of your own Camp Moves Me fundraiser, you can pick the fundraising style that works best for your camp and constituents.

Nonprofit camps now can raise money for themselves directly. For-profit camps who wish to give their donors a tax acknowledgement for their donation should use ACA’s Camper Scholarship Program. Learn more about how to use the Camper Scholarship Program for Camp Moves Me.
