The American Camp Association (ACA) honors and remembers Ross Turner, a longtime volunteer, beloved member of the camp community and past chair of the ACA Board of Directors, who passed away on October 9, 2025.
Ross was the founder, owner, and director of the Guided Discoveries family of camps. He served as the chair of the ACA Board of Directors from 2016–2019.
As a dedicated supporter of ACA and the broader camp community, Ross was also a generous donor and conference attendee as well as a member of ACA’s Pioneers of Camping Club and the Acorn Society. In addition, he was active in the Western Association of Independent Camps.
Ross was 79 years old.
