Collectively, ACA impacts 26 million campers annually. ACA helps you make a positive impact in the lives of the children you encounter every day. ACA provides just-in-time educational resources, tools, research, and advocacy, to help you build safer, healthier environments where children and youth can become leaders, environmental stewards, and socially, emotionally skilled individuals. More than 3,400 new individual members joined the association in fiscal year 2023.

The ACA accreditation program is an independent national peer-review program of camp operations. The Annual Accreditation Report is an integral program component that supports and emphasizes accredited camps’ ongoing improvement of their policies, procedures, and practices. More than 460 trained volunteers reviewed 1,830+ Annual Accreditation Reports of currently accredited camps. Additionally, summer 2023 site visits maintained rigor, integrity, and educational emphasis; 860+ trained volunteers implemented 550+ on-site visits to camps.

ACA's commitment to professional development manifested through a diverse range of initiatives encompassing in-person gatherings, online courses, and insightful webinars. A response to industry needs led us to host unique virtual events that directly addressed pertinent needs, including the Staffing Summit, a thought-provoking Wildfire Symposium, and the enlightening Business of Camp conference. In our continuing partnership with The Redwoods Group, we extended our efforts of delivering essential safety training through the ACA Online Learning Center's online platform, thus reinforcing our ability to ensure year-round camper and youth safety.

ACA’s sponsors, advertisers, exhibitors, and corporate and brand partners provided the Association with over $1 million of support. These funds support research, education, and training that promotes the highest level of health, safety, and risk management at camps. This work could not have happened in 2022–2023 without the support of our corporate and brand partners like Trinity/HPSI, Chaco, UltraCamp, and The Redwoods Group, just to name a few. ACA collaborates with a diversity of organizations, including businesses, agencies, associations, foundations, and educational institutions.
