Armand Baer Ball, Jr. passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, at the age of 95.
Armand was a deeply respected leader in the camp community. He joined ACA after a long career in youth development and went on to serve as Executive Vice President and CEO from 1974–1988. He co-authored Basic Camp Management with his wife, Beverly, and together they co-founded the International Camp Fellowship, helping connect camp professionals around the world. Armand was also a member of ACA’s Acorn Society and the National Pioneers of Camping.
Beyond ACA, Armand served organizations including the Florida Women’s Missionary Union, Woodlawn Boys’ Club, YMCA of Nashville, and St. Paul YMCA.
Armand’s contributions shaped generations of camp leaders, and his legacy continues to inspire.
