Intentional Camp Communities: The Cornerstone of Exceptional Experiences

Join us for a fun, hands-on, true-to-life pre-conference session, as we navigate the central tenant of cultivating, and nourishing, intentional camp communities. If your aim is to foster an environment where camp staff and counselors view themselves as part of a cohesive whole, rather than isolated units, then this session is your roadmap! With a blend of insights from publications like Teambuilding from the Toy Aisle and Crowd Words: Doing a lot with a Little, alongside proven activities, we aim to empower camp professionals with a robust toolkit to strengthen community ties among their camp staff.

Here’s What Awaits You:

  • Community Building Strategies: Delve into proven methodologies tailored to camp settings that enhance staff cohesion and unity.
  • Effective Communication: Understand the pivotal role communication plays in shaping a thriving camp culture.
  • Team-Building Masterclass: Experience hands-on, impactful team-building activities that resonate with shared camp values.
  • Cultivating Connections: Gain insights on fostering meaningful relationships, ensuring every staff member feels connected and integral.
  • Empowerment & Growth: Explore frameworks that foster a sense of belonging, while also facilitating personal growth within your camp’s organizational structure.

By the session’s conclusion, participants will be well-equipped, confident, and prepared to shape environments wherein staff members are motivated, valued, and empowered to deliver unparalleled camp experiences for their attendees.

This session will be led by Trevor Dunlap & Matthew Broda.
