We all end our summers with a few of those “I wish I would have known …” moments. While we are bound to continue growing from our own experiences, it is great to learn from other camp professionals to help anticipate, prepare, and respond to some of the situations at camp each summer. We know the importance of community, so come join the conversation to collectively grow!
- December 8, 11am-12pm CST: How to Climb the Summer Camp Ladder
Are you looking to continue to grow into new roles in the camping industry? Moving up the camp ladder requires a shift from day-to-day program execution to high-level organizational strategy, financial stewardship, and operational mastery. In this session, emerging camp professionals will explore the core business competencies needed to step into executive and director-level roles. Equally important, we’ll address the reality of industry burnout and share actionable strategies to build personal resilience, set healthy boundaries, and protect your mental well-being so you can build an impactful, long-lasting career doing what you love! - April 22, 1-2pm CST: Camp Funzies
- Camp is planned, registrations are coming in, and your training is set, now let’s plan some fun! Planning the extra summer fun for your staff and campers can sometimes feel like a distant thought, but it’s an important part of building community, creating traditions, and keeping the energy going all summer long. In this call, we’ll talk about the importance of planning out your summer funzies ahead of time and delegating them to members of your leadership team. We’ll share different funzies we’ve put on in the past, which ones have worked best, and how they can be used for different situations, groups, and moments throughout the summer. We’ll also talk about why it’s okay to over-plan because even if you only make 60% of your ideas happen, you’ve still created a summer packed with memorable moments.
