During this session, the United States Department of Justice’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS) will provide participants with an understanding of emerging threats to children, how to prevent children from becoming victims, and how to respond if a child has been victimized. The webinar will also provide resources for further information on protecting children.

Participants will be made aware of current emerging threats to children in the online world, including financially motivated sextortion, sadistic online exploitation, and AI-generated deepfakes.

Presenter
Cameron Rosen joined the US Department of Justice’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS) in November 2024. As an analyst, she contributes to CEOS’s prevention programming, policy development, and investigative efforts. She played a key role in launching CEOS’s prevention portfolio, with a focus on school‑based outreach, practical safety tools, and public education on emerging online threats to children.
Before joining the Department of Justice, Cameron served as a policy coordinator at the International Association of Chiefs of Police. She also worked as an intern for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations as a student criminal investigator and an intern for the Los Angeles Police Department’s Homicide Unit. Before all of that, Cameron’s first-ever job was at Cali Camp in Topanga, California, where she worked as a rocks and ropes specialist.
Cameron earned her Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Criminology and Sociology from the University of Stirling (Scotland) in 2021. She earned her Master of Public Policy, with a concentration in criminal justice, from American University in Washington, DC, in 2023.
