Being Heard / Making a Difference - Getting Your Session Proposal Accepted

The Faith-based Camp Professionals group is excited to host a conversation with insights and strategies on how to write a session proposal that can help grab the attention of the selection committee and increase your chances of being accepted to present at one of our conferences. We will also talk about writing for Camping Magazine and brainstorm content ideas this community would like to see.

This is not a Mental Health First Aid Training. Instead, this is a facilitated conversation about your challenges, successes, and questions as a faith-based camp and mental health. We welcome Cara Morales, who will speak with us and help us answer some questions about our work. Cara is a licensed marriage and family therapist, professional clinical counselor, and parenting coach. She works with teens, couples, and families who find themselves in a difficult season of life. As a therapist, she embraces the following philosophies: Life is not an easy journey, and no one is exempt from the storms of life. Adolescence is a tumultuous phase of life, both for the adolescent and their family. Marriage, while a joyous and rich relationship, is at times extremely difficult. Having someone to walk with us through the storms of life is invaluable. Therapy offers a healing support system during these times. Therapy is most effective when everyone is fully invested in the process. There is always hope.
