2024 marks the 21st year that ACA, Keystone Regional camps have participated in Operation Summer Camp. Launched in 2003, Operation Summer Camp provides camperships to military families to provide camp experiences for their children while parents are deployed and on active duty.

Working with the Biddle Air Guard Station in Horsham, PA, eastern and central PA camps are asked to donate sessions or weeks of camp to miliary children. Unlike other military campership programs, Operation Summer Camp matches a child with a traditional or specialty camp, day or overnight, so the child can experience camp with non-military children. Operation Summer Camp is the only program in the country to provide this opportunity to military kids. 

Operation Summer Camp relies on generous donations of weeks or sessions of camp to make this program possible. Camps of all types, day, overnight, sports, YMCA, and religiously affiliated are invited to participate. Camp directors indicate what sessions have space, and what will work for them, boys or girls, and ages. Campers are matched by the coordinator at the base. The donation process is all online.
