West Michigan Camp Tours – Join Us!

Head into your summer camp season feeling energized, connected, and inspired with a day of Camp Tours! Join fellow camp professionals from across Michigan to explore unique camp properties, learn from one another, and spark new ideas before Summer 2026 begins.

This tour will highlight two distinct camp models:

• Kalamazoo Nature Center (Kalamazoo) – A nature center that operates year-round and offers summer camp programming (7000 N, Westnedge Ave., Kalamazoo, MI, 49009)
• Sherman Lake YMCA Outdoor Center (Augusta) – A YMCA camp with a wide range of traditional and outdoor programs (6225 N. 39th Street, Augusta, MI, 49012)

This is an open invitation to both ACA members and non-members. We encourage you to invite your leadership teams, emerging professionals, program staff, and facility staff.

Attendees will drive themselves between locations. Please plan to bring your own lunch. Desserts provided by ACA. This event is free, but we ask that participants RSVP in advance.

Proposed Schedule – April 29

9:30 AM – Check-In & Introductions at Kalamazoo Nature Center
10:00 – 11:30 AM – Tour of Kalamazoo Nature Center

11:30 AM – 12:00 PM – Travel to Sherman Lake YMCA Outdoor Center

12:00 – 1:00 PM – Lunch & Roundtable Discussions

1:00PM – 2:15 PM – Tour of Sherman Lake YMCA

2:15 PM – Wrap-Up & Depart
