Sari VanOtegham

An award given to an individual or camp that has consistently provided outstanding service, leadership and contributions to the field of camping in Northern California for at least 10 years. It would be clear that, due to their noteworthy contributions, no other award would do justice.  The candidate must be a member of ACA Northern California.

2024- Gemma Miner for service to ACA, Northern California and the ACA national community in accreditation and professional development.

An award designed to recognize individual leaderships of notable and increasing service to the American Camp Association and the camp industry, with both local and national contributions.  The candidates must be members of ACA Northern California for not less than 5 years.

Service Award

An award designed to recognize continued and increasing service within the local area of Northern California.  The candidates must be members of the American Camp Association, and have served for not less than 5 years in ACA Northern California.

Starburst Award

An award given to individuals who are new to service within our area, but who have demonstrated growing contributions and involvement in support of the local programs and/or in the advancement of the camp movement within our area. The candidates must be members of ACA Northern California.

Phoenix Award

2024- Camp Okizu, Berkeley Tuolumne Camp and Napa County 4-H

4-HA special recognition given to camps that have risen from adversity to continue to offer the camp experience to their campers and families.

Community Service Award

An award is given to camps or youth development organizations that have designed a unique and innovative project or program that advances the camp movement in Northern California, or have made extensive service efforts to support or aid the ACA Northern California community.

Redwood Grove Circle

A special recognition that honors the commitment of individuals who have stood in continual service to ACA Northern California for 25 years or more, and whose contributions and leadership have added to the advancement of the camp movement in our area.  The candidate must be a member of ACA Northern California for not less than 25 years.
