Active Minds, the nation’s premier nonprofit organization supporting mental health promotion for youth and young adults, is so excited to share that we are officially business affiliates, supporters, and members of the American Camp Association. Mental health issues among youth and young adults are on the rise and we are responding to that through our educational youth-powered programming.
Ready to take action against the youth mental health crisis? Our free mental health education programs are the perfect fit for your camp. Our middle school curriculum, We Are Active Minds Middle School, is 16 conversations focusing on mental health literacy, social emotional development, and leadership. Available for camps in Florida, North Carolina, and Minnesota, this free program includes an unrestricted $2,000 stipend for each camp involved and onboarding and ongoing technical assistance from our team.
Looking to better support your staff and their mental health? We offer free professional development for your staff, too! Our Youth Champion Connections workshops are designed for any adult interested in becoming the adult youth seek out in crisis, celebration, and any situations in between. Because of the deep impact of this role, Active Minds believes it is critically important that Youth Champions be offered supportive learning spaces dedicated to their personal and professional development, including content focused on their own mental health and well-being.
