Health and Safety
ACA is committed to providing opportunities to engage in the safest and most enjoyable in-person experience possible. To achieve this, we are focused on a multilayered approach to mitigating COVID-19 at all ACA in-person events. This approach may vary by location, resources available, and local guidance. We know you might have more questions, and we’re excited to answer those questions and hear your thoughts on health and safety for this event. So, please feel free to connect with John Beitner with all health and safety questions and concerns.
We’re serious about your health, safety, and comfort at the conference and are taking steps to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Learn more about our Covid Considerations for Safe Meetings.
Important - Please sign this Attendee Waiver and return it to John Beitner.
**New information as of 3/7/2022**
We have adjusted the masking requirement to align with the new CDC guidance that relates mask usage to COVID Community Spread levels.
- In areas where the county hosts the event is a green level (according to the CDC’s tool), indoor masks are recommended rather than required.
- In yellow areas, indoor masks are recommended, with special considerations for people who have a higher risk or live with someone with a higher risk (please see CDC guidance)
- In red areas, we still require indoor masking.
- We will routinely check the state and local regulations and always align with them (some local areas have requirements that are more strict than the new CDC rules)
- These same standards apply to staff and volunteers (meaning, we are still masking in red areas, but leave it up to the individuals in green or yellow areas)
