Orienteering is a physically active learning experience that develops map navigation skills. Learn how to incorporate progressive orienteering lessons into your camp to help kids observe and experience the environment, develop spatial reasoning, practice critical thinking, and gain confidence in navigating both familiar and new places.

Why You Should Attend

You’ll explore the fundamentals of orienteering, learn to teach a progression of map and navigation skills, and gain practical steps for getting a custom map made for your camp. You’ll also walk away with clear guidance on how to launch a fun, engaging orienteering program that builds confidence, problem-solving, and outdoor skills for campers of all ages. You’ll come away with activity plans and with the knowledge of how to get an orienteering map made of your camp.
