To gather the local volunteer leadership — Local Council of Leaders Chairs and ACA Affiliate Presidents — along with the ACA National Board, Chief Executive Officer, and staff in order to move ACA’s mission forward together.

Associate Visitor Course - Training Curricula

Prerequisite: Online Precourse. Contact Kim to arrange enrollment for participants. Instructors will be enrolled and are expected to review content covered. Additionally, Instructors will be given access to monitor the progress of the participants in their local course. Access information will be sent.

Instructor Update Course

This course serves as a review of standards revisions and changes for currently certified instructors and associate instructors. Curriculum links contains the notes view of the PowerPoint slide deck (actual curriculum is in the "notes" portion), participant handouts, and instructor resources

Training Curricula

  •  Accreditation Process Workshop  (Summer 2019 visits) Course Curricula for 2019
    The ACA Accreditation Process Workshop is designed for camp representatives who are preparing for accreditation visits in 2019 and beyond. The course is appropriate for those who are new to the accreditation process AND those who have been part of an accreditation visit or completed standards training in the past. Every camp being visited must have at least one person who completes the workshop on behalf of the camp; that person must actively assist in preparation for the accreditation visit, be on site a significant amount of time during the camp season, and participate fully in the on-site accreditation visit.
  • Visitor Update Course (Summer 2019 visits) Course Curricula for 2019
    This workshop is designed for current standards visitors. It must be completed by any visitor before he/she is assigned as a visitor for accreditation visits in 2019 and beyond. All information below has been updated for summer 2019 visits
  • Associate Visitor Course (Summer 2019 visits) Coming Soon
    This course includes a mandatory completion of an approximately two hour online module (in addition to the candidate having completed a standards course).  This format of the Associate Visitor course allows the necessary materials to be covered in 8 – 10 hours (not including meals or breaks). Curriculum links contains the notes view of the PowerPoint slide deck (actual curriculum is in the "notes" portion), participant handouts, and instructor resources.
    Special note: ACA Inc. needs to enroll online precourse learners no later than 10 days prior to scheduled course date.
