Overview:
It goes without saying that camp makes a huge difference in the lives of staff. We also know that staff develop 21st Century skills such as communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity by working at camp. Yet, staff members are often challenged to translate this to a resume that will be attractive to future employers. In this webinar, camp and university professionals come together to share resume preparation tips so you can lead a compelling resume writing workshop this summer—a value-added component to staff development!

Kim Aycock, MST, has 30+ years of experience blending the skills of a master teacher with the knowledge of a seasoned camp expert. She trains camp staff at all levels and speaks professionally at regional and national conferences. Deb Jordan, Re.D., is a professor of parks and recreation and deeply involved in the camp world. She has written two textbooks – one on leadership and the other on recreation programming that directly relate to camping as well as the broader field. Deb conducts staff trainings and makes presentations on diversity, leadership, and ethics across the country. Deb is an energetic speaker who believes that people best learn by doing; thus, her sessions tend to be interactive and engaging.
